08 May Pupils put local agency in the frame

Pupils from Tanbridge House School are getting first-hand experience of film production, courtesy of a Horsham estate agent.

Bosses at Courtney Green have been putting together a short film to show prospective buyers what the town and surrounding area have to offer.

And to make sure the younger generation of Horsham residents is catered for in the film, they have enlisted the help of a group of Year 10 pupils.

Courtney Green Director Steven Greenfield said: “We know the Horsham area is popular with families and wanted to make sure that our film contained footage of some of the places favoured by young people.

“We were also keen to give those who were interested in film production the chance to get involved behind the camera and in the editing suite.”

The media studies students were asked to contribute ideas to the film script and a small group was chosen to head out on location with the film crew.

Teacher Lucy Watton said: “It’s a really exciting project and it is great for the students to get involved in a real life commercial filming project.

“It will help them to better understand the whole filming process, from scripting to location sourcing and final edit.”

The film, which is being overseen by local production company Impact Creative, will eventually be uploaded onto the Courtney Green website as a resource for potential buyers.
